If you go back through the blog archives, you'll see that this blog was much more then news about 4Notes, Buckets, PromoHelper!, etc. It was a place to discuss development and other topics. I've never picked up my posts related to other topics because, quite frankly, it doesn't make sense anymore. With close to 1000 new users of 4Notes in the past 2 weeks, my opinions on topics such as Apple and development now would be written for a minority of the readers.
Therefore, I've started a new blog for opinionated pieces on development, as well as anything else I choose to write about. It's found here, and you can always click the link on the right-hand side. Don't worry, this blog will still be your source for updates on my iPhone applications (and other activities on here).
Since its release 2 weeks ago, hundreds of users have added 4Notes (iTunes Link) to their iPhone and iPod touch. The response has been amazing, and I wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for buying the application, as well as all of the terrific feedback I've received.
4Notes has an awesome user base, as I've received many positive and encouraging emails. If I've learned one thing this week, it's that people really enjoy 4Note's power and simplicity.
If you like 4Notes, I encourage you to go to iTunes and rate the application, as positive reviews and ratings have a direct impact.
I've received a couple emails from members who state they are not receiving the confirmation email after they register at Press Start Games. Confirmation emails contain a code necessary to verify your email account. Therefore, a user can not log on without receiving the confirmation email.
I ran a test with a popular email web client, and the confirmation email did arrive in the Spam directory. Therefore, I suggest you check the Spam directory of your email client if you did not receive a confirmation email.
Also note that you may always contact me, and I will respond (I have responded to each person with this issue as of this writing). I am also updating the blog because if the confirmation emails are heading to the user's Spam directory, it makes sense my response is also heading there.
So you have purchased 4Notes for your iPhone and iPod touch, and created an online account right here at Press Start Games. Now, you want your notes to sync between the web and the 4Notes application.
Turning on syncing with 4Notes is incredibly easy. Follow the steps below to enable syncing with 4Notes.
1. On your iPhone or iPod touch, go to the Settings Application (the application with the "Gears" icon). The Settings application is not found within 4Notes.
2. In the Settings Application, scroll down and select "4Notes" (without the quotes).
3 Enter your email address and password for your Press Start Games online account and turn on WiFi sync and/or 3G/Edge sync.
After these steps are performed, syncing should be enabled within the 4Notes application.
